Leaders in Aircraft Design

Artus AirCraft

Polish manufacturer
of ultralight aircraft

The company was founded in 2006. Initially, we focused on research and the implementation of cavitation technologies in industry. In 2014, under the leadership of our new Founder and CEO, Mr. Artur Szczepanik, the company changed its focus – from then on, we became a manufacturer of modern aircraft with a takeoff weight of up to 600 kg.

Key members of the team include: Krzysztof Kubryński, PhD, DSc, Eng., from the Warsaw University of Technology, who developed the aircraft’s aerodynamics; Jerzy Cisowski, MSc, Eng., who led the design team; and Maciej Kalwara, MSc, Eng., who supervised the project.

Our headquarters and production facility are located in Bielsko-Biała. We specialize in the production of two-seat high-wing aircraft made of lightweight, durable carbon-epoxy laminates, available with combustion, electric, or hybrid powertrains. We employ 35 highly qualified specialists. Leading the way among innovators are the 10-person research and development (R&D) team, which consists of designers, aerodynamicists, and mechanics. Ongoing collaboration with experienced test pilots ensures the highest quality and safety of our products.

Our Vision and Growth

We focus on growth, close collaboration, trust, and a personalized approach, as we believe these form the foundation for creating exceptional solutions. We are driven by our passion for aviation and a desire for continuous improvement — in technology, processes, and relationships alike. Our goal is to reach higher and to push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of aerospace engineering.

Hall Construction

Dynamic growth and high demand for our products have led to the decision to build a new facility at Gliwice Airport. This investment will increase total production to 100 aircraft per year by 2029. The Gliwice facility will also house an advanced composite and metalworking center, largely based on 3D printing technology, which will benefit the entire aviation sector.

Hybrid

In the years 2020–2024, at ARTUS AIRCRAFT, we carried out a research and development program that resulted in the creation of a modular training and recreational aircraft weighing 600 kg with a choice of drive: combustion, electric or hybrid.
